Grab a nibble from a food truck, then step into Monopole and wash it down with a glass of wine while listening to Darrel Calvillo on bagpipes and Dan Olivo crooning at Pasadena District’s Block Party on Thursday, November 7th.
Around the corner in the alleyway, Zona Rosa Caffe will be open with coffees and live music.Red White + Bluezz—at their new location—will have Andy Langham on piano and Little Junebugs next door will be offering craftmaking in between sips and bites.
Other than $2 glasses of wine, Monopole will have free appetizers and a raffle for 12 bottles of “Old & Rare” wine like a 1997 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, a 1996 Smith-Haut Lafitte Bordeaux, and a 2004 San Filippo Brunello di Montalcino ($10/raffle ticket). On top of that, you can buy raffle tickets ($20 each) for a one-week stay in a house in France located in the village of Ferrières-en-Gâtinais south of Paris, which is owned by Monopole’s Peter Nelson (he uses the house as a base when he ventures out to purchase more vino).
